Vacation Acadia’s Jade's Nest” offers the best of both worlds- right in DT Barharbor within one block of YMCA( pool, gym) children’s playground and town athletic field. Newly  finished lower level / with full BR and bath with own entrance & exit. Perfect for family with kids/ teenagers or small group of friends. Walk  to restaurants, shops, and tours- all that DT Bar harbor has to offer, a huge convenience when parking can be limited in peak summer months. Mins  to Acadia National Park. Parks 3!

The space

Located in downtown Bar Harbor. Convenient to everything Bar Harbor has to offer that includes whale watching, island tours, lobster tours, sailing, and Acadia National Park tours. The home also is steps from Park Street Playground , a small fenced playground. Right next to the playground is the YMCA with a nice pool and gym. Across YMCA is the athletic field - for skateboarding, tennis, pickleball, soccer, and baseball. The house is a short walk to shops, bars, restaurants and Shore Path Trail. Other beautiful and scenic hiking trailheads are just a few minutes away.

The house 4 beds, 2 bath for 8 guests. Mini splits in each BR and LR providing heat and A/C with whole home generator . We have complimentary pack n play and high chair for your little precious, if needed. Our parking accommodates 3 small cars or 2 large SUV’s / pick up trucks. Parking is arranged with 2 small cars side by side by the paved parking or 1 large SUV. The other vehicle parks in front of the house by the grass (not road). We have strong wifi.

The main level features a front and back deck with outdoor seating & dining, living and dining rooms, and kitchen. Kitchen is fully stocked. Comfortable oversized leather power reclining chairs face the large smart TV. Perfect for watching your favorite shows and movies.

Our back yard has outdoor furniture and a propane grill.

The upper level is accessed via full flight of stairs with with 3 bedrooms and one full bath. Two of the rooms have queen sized beds. The third room has a twin over a twin bed (bunk beds that measure 38 inches wide x 75 inches long mattress). One of the rooms with queen bed has a smart TV. Full bathroom has heater.

The lower level is accessed via full flight of stairs with own exit to outside. It features a master bedroom and full bath with small living area with smart TV. There’s 1 washer and 2 dryers in the bathroom.

Guest access

Full access to the house with private parking and private yard. No shared spaces.

Other things to note

The house can park 3 small cars or 2 large SUV / Truck. The paved parking out back can fit 2 small cars or 1 large SUV. Second parking space is in front of the house by the grass area (not road), can park one large SUV / Truck.

Early check ins and late check outs are available at no extra cost during OFF season months (November to April). Please check with us.

Outdoor furniture are not available during cold months (November to March). Grill may be available upon request.

Guests with service animals are encouraged to notify the host / owner because of animal dander & hair allergy by one of the owners / host who is closely engaged with maintaining the property. Due to medical reasons Host is unable to accommodate Guests with animals.

Neighborhood highlights

The area is in a prime location in BarHarbor, walking distance to restaurants and shops, yet in a relatively quiet residential area.

It is a 13 minute walk to popular Agamont Park where you see fireworks display during 4th of July, 6-8 minute walk to the Village Green and an 8 minute drive to Hull’s Cove Visitor Center of Acadia National Park.

YMCA, town Athletic Field and popular Park Street playground and a skate park is just a block down through Ash St.

MDI hospital is 0.3 miles away.

Getting around

There is paid street parking from May to October. Other months street and parking lot parking is free. You can ride your bike around town, walk to the nearby restaurants, shops, bars, and even the scenic Shore Path. Acadia National Park Hulls Cove Visitor Center is just 6-8 minutes drive. The Island Explorer Bus is free provided you have a Park Pass. Please visit their web site to know their bus stop locations and destinations throughout the town and the National Park.
